Dr. Sorenson

Dr. Justin Sorensen grew up in southeastern Arizona and spent two years as a missionary in West Virginia after high school.

Upon returning home, he worked as an electrician while pursuing his interests in art and architecture at Eastern Arizona College. It was during this time that he became fascinated with the art and science of orthodontics, having received treatment for the first time at age twenty-four.

Dr. Sorensen went on to earn a bachelor's degree in applied biology from Arizona State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He then attended Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Glendale, Arizona, where he received numerous awards and scholarships for his academic performance, service contributions, and outstanding patient management. He graduated from dental school at the top of his class and was inducted into the national dental honor society.

Following this achievement, Dr. Sorensen was accepted into Saint Louis University, one of the nation's finest orthodontic residency programs, where he completed his specialty training.

Dr. Sorensen's passion for his patients is evident in his approach to care. He enjoys getting to know each patient on a personal level and strives to create lasting relationships with them and their families. He is an empathetic and active listener who believes in treating his patients and team like family. With an incredible eye for detail and a natural artistic ability, Dr. Sorensen is dedicated to creating beautiful smiles that exceed his patients' expectations.

Orthodontics for Children

As a parent, ensuring your child’s health and happiness is paramount, and early orthodontic treatment can play a crucial role in both. Starting orthodontic evaluations around age 7 helps us catch and address potential issues before they become more complex. Early treatment can regulate the width of dental arches, correct habits like thumb sucking, guide permanent teeth into more favorable positions, and normalize jaw growth. This proactive approach not only minimizes the need for more invasive procedures later but also contributes to the overall well-being and self-confidence of your child.

Orthodontics for Teens

Orthodontic care during the teen years is about more than just achieving a great smile—it's about adapting to the unique needs of busy young adults. At Farnsworth Family Orthodontics, we understand that teens are involved in numerous activities from academics to sports. That’s why we offer a variety of treatment options, including metal braces, clear braces, and clear aligners, which provide flexibility without disrupting their lifestyle. Our treatments are designed to work efficiently and discreetly, ensuring teens can continue to excel and shine in every aspect of their vibrant lives.
